The E1 Archery Carbon Lockdown Clicker (Straight version) is a specialized draw-check indicator used in competitive recurve archery to ensure a consistent draw length for every shot. This device is constructed almost entirely from carbon fiber, distinguishing it from traditional spring steel or aluminum clickers. In the context of elite competitive archery, the clicker serves as a “non-visual” trigger; when the arrow point is drawn past the edge of the clicker blade, the blade snaps against the riser (or a clicker plate), producing an audible signal that informs the archer they have reached their optimal power stroke and should release the string.
